“Often in discipleship the emphasis is placed on the relationship between the disciple-maker and their disciple. I have found that the greatest joy for me comes from my relationship with Jesus while walking with another through discipleship. At Intentional we call this the “Incarnational” aspect of disciple making. I find that I have to depend on Him in greater, more personal, ways as I disciple someone than in any other ministry I have been a part of before. Intentional disciple making is a great way to enjoy the Lord.”

“An invitation is a powerful thing! It reveals intent, interest, concern and brings clarity to relationship. Being invited to something always leaves me with a feeling of being wanted and welcome. An invitation also accomplishes something else as well. An invitation demands response. With an invitation I feel both wanted and obligated at the same moment.
Here at “Intentional” we believe this is the power of an invitation, that when we intentionally invite another person into a disciple making relationship we are reflecting something central to the hear of Jesus and His Father.
God has been in the invitation business for a really long time. In the garden He invited Adam and Eve to walk with Him in the cool of the day, when Christ is lifted up on the cross all men are invited to come to Him and in Revelation the Spirit and the Bride say ‘Come!’. It is Jesus who takes the initiative with His disciples and extends and invitation.
It is my conviction that this singular element inside the ‘Intentional’ model of disciple making changes everything!”
